All passions are important

What Is Your Passion?
Change.org

What is your passion? Think about it for a second. How would you feel if people were able to completely take it away from you? I bet that it wouldn’t feel nice. Well, this happens to some people. Now, because your passion has taken away, you have to find a new one, and this is going to be difficult because you’ve been passionate about one particular subject your whole life and now you have to find a new one. I’m sure I won’t be the first one to tell you that a person’s passion isn’t something to be messed with. A passion is anything where that person can dive right into something and get lost with enjoyment and forget about everything else in the world and the problems that life often brings.

Well, my passion is cars; specifically building, fixing, and tricking them out. This summer I am going to assemble an entire car from the ground up. I am very excited for this project, and although the summer is coming quickly, it can’t seem to come soon enough.

In the future, I know that my profession will be related to cars, somehow. What really catches my eye is working for Porsche, or a company that can take an average car and turn it into a race car with unbelievable amounts of horsepower and extreme performance numbers. This is my ultimate dream, but I’m afraid that my goals for the future will get cut short before I can even start. The EPA wants to ban the conversion of everyday cars into race cars. The EPA is trying to control the gas emissions and fuel efficiency standards for vehicles. They want to control emissions and efficiency by targeting race cars. The EPA is unaware that they are taking away many professions by doing so. Many performance shops will be closed because after the bill is passed, their work will then be considered illegal. The automotive industry is very large and this bill will leave many unemployed if passed. The system is balanced the way that it is now, but passing this bill it will leave the automotive industry unbalanced.

If you’re a car buff like me, or you simply agree with what I’m trying to say, you can check out more here.

I hope this encourages you to research the subjects that you care deeply about. Enough voices fighting for a cause can make a difference in this world and ensure that passion is something that will never die.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
