Summer is the time of the year that you are allowed to reinvent yourself. It gives us the opportunity, over the course of three months, to improve ourselves. In high school, the summer after my freshman year, I got contacts, learned how to apply makeup, and started my sophomore year out with a look that I truly felt described who I was.
Some girls decide to get piercings, others tattoos, and if you're a wimp like me, you may decide to do something less permanent and simply dye your hair a different color. So, what does your hair color say about you?
Blonde- Oh the infamous blonde hair. We all have that one friend who actually lives up to the dumb blonde stereotype, and we also have blonde friends who have a 4.0 GPA. Basically, blonde hair symbolizes the young, all-American girl type that we have come to known and love. Is it a coincidence that the majority of famous people and Miss USA contestants have blonde hair? I think not.
Brunette- Or if you're a jerk about it, brown. Brunettes often get the short end of the stick, being labeled as bookish and not as much fun as their aforementioned blonde friend. Still, brunettes are whip smart and can be a bit devious when need be. Cross them at your own cost.
Red- Once you get over the whole "gingers have no soul" thing, red is actually a really beautiful color. Red heads are known to be unpredictable, and a bit magical. People will always remember who they are because of their hair color. If you want to spend a night out on the town, this is the girl you want to be your wing woman.
Black- At one time, black hair was considered the hair color that nobody wanted. However, with it now being associated with the Kardashians, everyone and their mama are trying out the color for themselves. Be warned though, black hair dye is extremely hard to get rid of, and if you want to dye your hair a different color you may have to bleach it first. You have been warned.
Pastel- If your hair is a pretty pastel color like cotton candy pink or mint green, congratulations you are automatically adorable and a lot of people are probably jealous of you. However, that hair color is not easy to keep, and this person probably dyes their hair once every two weeks to maintain the color. With that being said, I think we all became just a little less jealous of you.
Another Color- If your hair color was not mentioned above then it must be a really unique color! Congratulations on being so unique that I was unable to label you in my hair color article!
