What Your Girlfriend REALLY Wants for Christmas
The Mirror-UK

It's that time of year again.

ABC Family's 25 Days of Christmas has begun. You're FINALLY home. You get to sleep in your own bed again, have your mom's homemade cooking, see your dogs, and everything is right in the world.

It's also that time of year when you show the people you love how much you care about them with a special gift.

It's that time of year to spend with family and friends.

And...it's that the time of year when your boyfriend talks more to your best friends than he ever has because he has absolutely no idea what to get you.

Well this is year is going to be different. I asked girls exactly what they REALLY wanted for Christmas and their answers were not "a necklace with a heart on it," or "I don't want anything!" We may be incredibly confusing, indecisive, and at times frustrating when it comes to getting us gifts, but you know we do it all out of love! If it makes you feel any better we experience the exact same sentiments when trying to think of what to get YOU for Christmas. You're not alone in the struggle.

So here it is gentlemen, REAL answers to the question what us girls REALLY want for Christmas this year, take notes:

"I want something small yet sentimental. Something that shows me he cares and has paid attention to the little things I've said or we talked about. I want something memorable! A picture frame of the two of us, or a special date and he takes me back to the place where we had our first kiss. I want something that reassures me he wants me in his future." -Neda Awad, University of San Diego

"A gift that isn't something that my parents or friends would give me. Also, not a gift that he would give to his mom or sister. And not anything sexual, no Andy Samburg "D*ck in a Box." Just a gift to show that I'm important to him and that he actually cares for me." -Elise Rimsa, Marquette University

"What I want this year is to just spend time with him! Being apart for most of the year is hard so I love getting to spend time together when we can." -Madison Conroy, University of Kentucky

"I would love to go a day without any distracts or phones and just go on a run, make lunch, go out to a nice dinner where we could get really dressed up, and then go ice skating after!! Another gift idea I would love is if we got to take a photo shoot just the two of us and take pictures that we could have for a long time." -Evie Hauptmann, Texas A&M University

See, I told you their answers were not jewelry or that they don't want anything. Yes every relationship and girl is different, but from these four answers I don't think anyone can deny that sentimental gifts are memorable and special. We just want to know that you think about us in the same way that we think about you, which, in case you are curious what we think about you, it can basically be summed up in Mariah Carey's 'All I Want for Christmas is You.'

We know how much you love us and that you think we're the most beautiful girl in the world, however, a little remind during this holiday season will mean more than any pair of earrings, shoes, or fancy dinner ever could.

Best of luck to all my boyfriend's out there during this holiday season, I hope this helped you in your quest for the perfect Christmas present for your perfect girl.

P.S. she is going to love any gift you end up getting her, simply because it's from you.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
