I have a couple theories up my sleeve. None of these theories can show how people behave strategically or prove that we faked the moon landing but they are (debatably) just as useful. I have one theory that your favorite super hero relates to your personality. You probably like superheros because of the way they use or contracted their super powers. This affiliation relates to the content of your character. The best way to get to know somebody is to ask him or her who his or her favorite super hero is and judge.
Spider-Man
Those who love Spider-Man are optimistic and big dreamers. Spider-Man was just a regular guy who contracted spidey senses when he was bitten by a spider. People who love Spider-Man honestly believe that good things come out of bad situations.
Batman
Batman lovers are rational and down-to-earth. Batman’s “powers” come from his wit, strength and technology. He doesn’t have any real powers at all, but he is still powerful superhero. Those who favor Batman are strong believers in this realistic, inner power.
Superman
Fans of Superman are classy a** people. They believe that the original is always better than the remake. Superman is one of the original superheroes, and his persona has made very few changes since its conception. Not to mention Clark Kent’s identity remained stoic even though he was secretly turning into a hero every time he went into a pay phone booth. Superhero fans respect this stoicism because, to them, originality is the best art form.
The Hulk
This fan might have anger issues. In all seriousness, Hulk fans are just passionate people. The Hulk is deeply moved by the unjust and fans relate to that.
