Things he has actually said.

What You Should Know Before You Vote Trump

My political views aside, this needs to be said. This is not an attack on the Republican Party. This is not even an attack on Trump. I am using all quotes of what he has said and offering minimal insight on how I feel.

Recently, more and more people have supported or endorsed Donald Trump, including our Governor Chris Christie. I believe that as American citizens we should be as educated as possible before making a decision on who to vote for in the upcoming presidential election. So, I have compiled things that I believe everyone should know before you vote to #MakeAmericaGreatAgain.

From the get-go he has treated this election like a joke. It was a joke at first, but now it has become a very scary reality.

Here's a Trump quote from 1998.

If you are a republican, why would you vote for someone who insults your intelligence? More recently, he had some things to say on the Iowa Caucus.

“How stupid are the people of Iowa?” - Donald Trump

If you are a woman and voting for Donald Trump, there are some things you should know. He spoke about sexual assault in the military in 2013, claiming, "26,000 unreported sexual assaults in the military-only 238 convictions. What did these geniuses expect when they put men and women together?"

He has frequently belittled women. During one of the Republican debates earlier this year he was offended by Fox news host Megyn Fox, and his response to her questioning was “You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes. Blood coming out of her wherever.” Not only attacking journalists, he even attacked his fellow colleague Carly Fiorina, “Look at that face! Would anyone vote for that? Can you imagine that, the face of our next president?” Any woman in support of Trump should also check out this video of his response to Rosie O'Donnell.

How can any self-respecting woman support this?

Going back to Trump's recent endorsements, he recently gained support from the very well-known KKK (Ku Klux Klan). Trump was interviewed by CNN and asked if he would reject and disapprove of their endorsement and this was his response.

He completely ignored the question and said that he cannot make judgments on groups he knows nothing about. Do you support the KKK? If you don't, Trump is probably not your guy anymore.

These are just a few of the many things Donald Trump has said in the past year or so. If you're really still not sure, check out his Twitter. Here are some of his actual tweets from this year via Forbes.

And here are some more:

Whoever you're voting for, make sure you educate yourself. This is an important decision.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
