What Writing Means To Me

Writing is my passion and I am going after that passion.

What Writing Means To Me

Writing is an outlet that I enjoy immensely. It is a way that I can express myself. Writing is also a way I can share my stories as well as others. My favorite form of writing is fiction. I started working on this dream by writing fan-fiction. I have started to write many fanfics with a couple of fandoms. These fandoms include Harry Potter, "Supernatural" and Marvel. I have also started a couple of short stories. One of my many dreams is to write a fiction novel and I’ve come up with a couple ideas for the novel. While one of my dreams is to write and publish a fictional novel, I also plan to become a journalist. This is a work in progress. I find it to be much simpler to write a fictional story than to write what is happening in the news. Lately, the world has been a dark place and I find it hard to write about tragedies constantly. That doesn’t mean that my fictional stories are filled with rainbows and unicorns, but there are happy times that outweigh the bad. This struggle will challenge me to become a better writer. That’s what will make this journey so amazing. Yes, I can’t wait to become the phenomenal writer I know I can be, but the journey and process to get to that point will be what I think I will love the most!

Creating for the Odyssey is one of the big first stepping stones in my journey to greatness. This big first stepping stone is wonderful and I love creating with the Odyssey. Writing is my passion and I am glad I decided to follow my passion. When you get older, you have to try and decide what you are going to do with the rest of your life. Some people choose a path that will earn them the most money, some follow the easiest path, and others follow their dreams. Following your dreams, in my opinion, is important. You may end up extremely wealthy later in life, but are you going to be happy? I’ve learned this lesson from my parents, especially my step mom. My step mom is an ordained minister, but at the moment she is working as a "guidance counselor" of sorts for the churches of the Penn Central Conference of the UCC. My step mom’s career doesn’t bring in the biggest income, but it is what she loves and what she believes in. Seeing this helped mold me into the person I am today. I would rather do something that makes me happy than be extremely wealthy. Now, if I could do something that makes me happy and makes me extremely wealthy, then woo hoo!

Writing is my passion and I am going after that passion. I encourage others to follow their dreams and live passionately. You never want to wake up 20 years from now and question what you are doing with your life. Live every day like it was your last and live passionately.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
