What I Will Miss About QU This Summer

As the weather begins to warm up here at QU and classes begin to wrap up, I can’t help but think about all the things I am going to miss about Quinnipiac this summer. Minus no classes and the stress of grades and homework, I honestly am sad to be leaving QU in just a couple weeks and there are some things I will miss most about QU.

Being with my friends 24/7.

Of course, I miss all my friends back home but it will be sad to say bye to all my QU friends from other states that I won’t get to see for the next 4 months. These people have become like family, and seeing them on a day-to-day basis has made my friendships with them that much stronger so not seeing them all summer long will be hard to get used to. Even weirder will be not waking up to my three roommates every morning anymore.

Weekends out! (Toad's Place)

So sad but so true. I will most definitely miss the grime that is Toad’s Place on a Saturday night. You would think going there every weekend would get boring but it really doesn't. Something new and crazy always happens at Toad’s and almost never makes for a dull moment.

The Quad

As it starts to get warmer here at QU one of the best parts is hanging out on the Quad. I have come close to falling asleep out there honestly. Over the winter, we forget how beautiful QU really is until the warm weather comes back in the spring and everyone comes out of their hibernation to hang out on the Quad a few more times before summer.

Sleeping Giant

Same as the Quad, Sleeping Giant shines in the warm weather with the trees coming back to life. Hiking the giant is a must for all Bobcats, and even the most dedicated of QU students still hike it in the winter. It will be weird not seeing the giant every morning on my way to classes, still half asleep.

No Parents!

It is a given. As much as I love my parents and miss them while I am away at school I have gotten used to the independence of living by my own rules (for the most part). I miss home but I am definitley not, ready to give up my complete freedom for the next four months.
