It's that time of the year again: The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show is coming. This is when Victoria's Secret showcases their bras and underwear with elaborate costumes including the iconic angel wings. Though the show hasn't taped yet and won't be airing until December 8 at 10 p.m. on CBS, we can confirm some things that are going to happen on the catwalk.
1. Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid will be walking.
Victoria's Secret has confirmed that they booked the two supermodels. Hadid was especially excited because it has been a lifelong dream for her to book this gig.
2. Ellie Goulding, Selena Gomez, and The Weekend will be performing.
Selena's "Good for You" is perfect as well as the weekend's R&B hits like "The Hill" or "Can't Feel my Face." Newly added to the roster is Ellie Goulding. Rihanna was supposed to perform but dropped out because she wanted more time to work on her album.
3. Lilly Aldridge will be wearing the $2 million Fantasy bra.
This extravagant bra is encrusted with 6,500 gems that are set in 18k gold. To match the bra, Lily will be wearing a belt carrying 126 diamonds and 400 precious gems around blue firework panties.
4. Possible themes for the show…
A firework inspired theme may be a contender since the fantasy bra is called the Firework bra. Also, judging by a recent Instagram post there might be a boho section.
5. Jourdan Dunn will not be walking.
Some controversy around the the show sparked when angel alumni, Jourdan Dunn, tweeted this. She deleted the tweet but fans had already re-tweeted and screenshotted her post. Not sure if Jourdan has bad blood with VS, but it seems like her days of wearing wings are over.
6. It will take place back where it originated in New York City for its 20th anniversary.
Victoria Secret's first fashion show debuted in 1995 at the Plaza Hotel. Its only suiting that for its 20th anniversary it's brought back to where it all started.
