The definition of family is a group consisting of parents and children living together in a household. Family means more than that to me. Now, everyone has their own interptetation of the meaning of family based on their experiences with their own family. Family means more than just the people you live with. Family are the people that you can count on, trust, and love. My family is so special to me. They have been through everything with me and have always been by my side. I would not trade my family for the world!
I am beyond blessed to have such a great family! I have the greatest parents. They do so much for my! I am blessed with a mother and father that love me unconditionally, a fourteen year old brother that loves to play the drums and basketball, a nine year old sister that loves to put makeup on, a six year old sister who loves Frozen, a four year old sister who loves mermaids, and a four year old brother that loves cars. These people make up my family. I do not know what I would do with out them. I am the oldest child in the family and the oldest grand kid. Being the oldest pushes me to be the best I can be. I want to show my siblings and cousins how to be a good person and act right. I want to set a good example for them. I do not want to let them down. I know they count on me and look up to me.
For the first fourteen years of my life it was just my mom, dad, my little brother, and I. Freshman year of high school my family decided to foster kids. We were blessed to get three little girls that were siblings and a little boy. We later adopted four kids. My family are their forever family. My family is so special. By adopting the youngest four kids I have grown so much. Even though they may be annoying at times I still love them and care for them! Each of the little kids have something they like to do with me. I have special time with them individually. They cal it special time with sissy. I love spending time with each and every one of them.
Over all family comes first (after God of course). We could not live without family. We would not even be here if it was not for our family. We should treasure our family forever. Family is always there for us, and always has our back. I think the definition of family should be deeper than just the people you live with. Everybody has their own interpretation of the meaning of family but it should have a deeper meaning. Like Lilo and Stitch say,,"Ohana means family and family means that no one gets left behind."
