An artist is a special kind of person, someone who looks at the world a little differently than everyone else. Photographers, in my opinion, are an even more special faction of those kind of people. They’re visual lovers so sometimes words don’t come easily. Loving an artist can be tough in those ways. But loving an arist, especially a photographer, can be a wonderful thing. When your best friend is a photographer, you’ll become her number one fan. You’ll love everything she does and you’ll look up to her for it. You’ll be so proud of her every time she finishes a project. Having a photographer for a best friend can be an interesting experience. If you’re like me, it’ll go something like this:
1. She’ll catch moments (or entire nights) you probably otherwise would have forgotten.
2. She’ll make friends with your pets and take cute pictures with them
Even when your pets are kind of strange and freak most people out. She won’t care. Even when you can’t seem to take a good selfie with your baby, she will.
3. Sometimes you’ll get to be part of her art.
When she needs to make a statement about being a woman and make fake bruises on inappropriate parts of someone’s body, she’ll use you. No, its not awkward (its nothing she hasn’t seen before..) And you’ll love that you get to be a part of something so amazing and powerful. “Ask me what its like to be a woman, I’ll show you bruises.” –Katy Kuchler
4. When you buy her VDay gifts, you know she’ll love them because she’ll always post pictures on Instagram. 
She’ll hug you and tell you thank you and immediately take a picture to share with the world.
5. She’ll catch your most embarrassing moments
I’m not going to give the story for this video but I will say I found a brownie somewhere in the middle of the night and we laughed… a lot.
6. She’ll have old cameras that take awesome vintage photos.
You may not look good in the pictures, but they’re Polaroid so you have to love them!
7. She’s the actual selfie queen.

8. She’ll also take the best selfies with you...
And make a huge collage of them for your 21st. Some will be beautiful with the perfect lighting and filter and sometimes you both look ridiculous. (Its called balance)
9. She’ll take videos of you when you don’t want her to.
And you’ll curse at her and tell her you hate her because you were trying to tell her a story. (but eventually finish the story).
10. She’ll get cute pictures with your niece and nephew.
She’s always around of course, so she’ll be sure to record the fun with the little ones. (and somehow get your two year old nephew to stand still with his water gun long enough for a picture)
11. She’ll get the best candids of you.
12. She'll make the simple seem extraordinary. 
Even if its just a random staircase in a frat late at night.
Most of all, she’ll love you unconditionally. Not everyone finds this kind of friendship. So don’t let it go if you do because you’ll never find another like her.
