When I was younger, I always heard all these older girls say "If your boyfriend isn't your best friend than you're doing it wrong." and I never agreed until now. My boyfriend is my absolute best friend and I wouldn't have it any other way. I read something one day that said "It's all about the first person you want to tell your good news too." And without a doubt, my boyfriend will always be the first person to find out my good news.
At first, it's kinda weird having your boyfriend as your best friend, because this is something that not everyone gets to see. He gets to see you in your true form, something you only share with certain people. Now this can be scary, but trust me ladies, if he really loves you, he is not going to care what you're wearing or if you have any makeup on or not.
This may not happen with everyone, but both my boyfriend and I love to dance when our favorite song comes on and although we think we look sweet, most people have informed us that we look silly together, but dancing with him is the best place to be.
The most important thing to know, is when to inform him when he's acting like a complete goofball, although he might not care and continue doing it anyway, you're still going to look at him like he's the only guy in the world. (And trust me, he will have no problem telling you either).
My favorite part about the relationship isn't the gifts, or the fancy dinners, it's when we are both just hanging out, although you might not be talking but just being in his presence makes you feel safe and there is no place in the world that you would rather be.
And even though it's playful, you both are extremely competitive and there is nothing that can get into your way, absolutely nothing.
You're not afraid to have deep discussions about your worst fears, your biggest dreams or something about your relationship. They love you, and they want to push you to do your best, no matter what.
The most amazing part of any relationship is when you both finally become comfortable with each other and embarrassment isn't a factor in the relationship anymore.
Life is amazing when your boyfriend is your best friend, partner in crime and your person. I promise.
There is no other feeling in the world that can compare to when your boyfriend becomes basically part of your family.
