You have been counting down the days until the season premiere, or for the newest episode, of your favorite show. Of course, because your best friend is your best friend, it's their favorite show too.
You don't need to cancel any plans because you didn't make any to begin with. No one should expect you to do anything right before, during or even after your show is on.
Every week, you go to the same house or dorm room and settle into the same spot on the sofa, no questions asked. Parents, siblings and roommates know not to bother you while the show is on.
Finally the show is starting, and your friends are there for every up and down of the episode. When something dramatic happens on the show, you're both either screaming or crying.
You use the commercial breaks to fully absorb what just happened.
You and your friends have conversations about the actors as if you know them personally, only for some outsider to remind you that, just because you watch the show, does not mean you know the actors.
Maybe you've even adopted some of the show's sayings into your everyday conversations. Other people might give you weird looks when you use them, but your best friend doesn't give it a second thought. He or she might even respond with another quotable line from the show.
If you guys can't watch the show together (because maybe you go to school three hours away from each other), you are non-stop texting throughout the entire episode.
When the newest episode has ended, you wrap up your conversations, grab your things and get ready to leave. You'll be right back here for the next new episode. Until then, you and your friend help each other get through the week by reminding each other there are only X number of days until the newest episode of your favorite show.
