What It's Like To Date A Country Girl

Yes, "country" is country wide. You don't have to be from the South to be considered "country." There are many that just dress the part and seem to forget that "country" isn't just owning a pair of cowboy/cowgirl boots and flannels. It's a way of life. Now, I know some guys are intimidated by some girls who a part of this lifestyle, but you yourself don't have to be a part of this lifestyle to date a country girl. We country girls may be different from regular girls, but we might actually be one of your favorites to have be a part of your life. Here's a few examples of what it's like to date girls like us...

1. We're not afraid to get dirty. We've probably had our fair share of mud on our jeans from dirt biking, four wheeling, or muddin'.

2. We might know more about your car than you do. To guys, that might seem embarrassing, but we grew up around our daddy's and have had a childhood many don't have anymore. Helping change the oil or the brakes was something you learned. And having a love for Jeeps and Chevrolet was just something we grew up on.

3. Chris Stapleton is probably our favorite artist. It doesn't matter who you are, if you've heard Chris Stapleton, you know you secretly love his music.

4. Our wardrobe consists of jeans, plain tees, and boots. When we need to look nice, let me assure you, we look nice. But when there isn't a special occasion, this is how we're most comfortable.

5. A date to Five Guys is more than perfect. We don't expect 5 star restaurants with filet mignon and souffle. A good burger and fries is heaven... and maybe even a shake from McDonald's afterwards.

6. We'll have a beer and watch the big game with you. Self explanatory, what more could a guy want?

7. We'll do anything with you, but also try to get you out of your comfort zone. Ever been ice skating? No? OK, well, we're going, be prepared for bruises.

8. We love to bake/cook. Whatever you want, we will gladly feed you.

9. Family and friends are just as important to us as it is to you. There's nothing more we love to do than spend time with you and your family/friends.

10. We want a love like Brad and Kimberly (Paisley). If you haven't read up on their adorable love story or heard Brad's love songs about her, do it. You'll understand.

11. Some people call it "whipped," but we will do anything for you simply because we love you and want you happy. But if you think you can use this to your advantage, you have it all wrong. We're still girls, and we're not stupid. We'll kick you to the curb faster than you ever thought was possible. No ifs, ands, or buts.

12. We're not all looking for a cowboy. Although we may all dream of finding one, if we love you, we love you.

13. Daddy is our number one. He is the end all, be all of our lives. He may want you to hunt and fish, but if he likes you, it's a blessing.

14. We are simple. "Yes" means yes and "no" means no. There is no secret code or figuring out to do. We tell you straight up if we're suspicious, upset, or happy. We only speak the truth.

15. Miranda Lambert is our role model. No one is as sweet and badass at the same time like Miranda is.

16. It doesn't take much to make us happy. Nothing has to be big and extravagant. We don't have to go to an expensive dinner, the movies, bowling, or the Jets game next weekend. Once in awhile, it's nice to go out and do those things. But a night cuddled up on the couch, laughing, and having tickle fights are some of the best moments.

Sweet, simple, and silly. We love our life, and finding someone to share it with makes it just that much better. So maybe it's time to find your own Virginia Bluebell.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
