Ever since I picked up a Harry Potter book in the fourth grade, my life changed. Yes, the Harry Potter series changes lives, probably every day. I read the books as fast as I could. I bought the last two books as soon as they were published and read them just as fast. I reread the series every time a movie or book came out. Then after I finished rereading the series as the last movie came out, I waited about six hours to sit in the very middle of the movie theater to watch it all end. I hadn't reread the books until this past summer and finally realized just how beautiful of a series the books are. They don't even compare to all the trilogies that have been published since. Harry Potter is on that high of a pedestal. I am what you would call a Potterhead.
While you reread the Harry Potter books, this is what you feel:
(CAUTION: IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THE BOOKS OR SEEN THE MOVIES, BEWARE OF SPOILERS) And should probably stop what you're doing and read the books or watch the movies, preferably both.
1. You find a new appreciation for the series.

2. You realize just how interconnected the story is and all the little details and creativity and applaud J.K. Rowling for the marvelous work.

3. Your hatred for Dolores Umbridge is reawakened, and you think, "Yep, Umbridge is worse than Voldemort."

4. You realize how you completely forgot just how much of Lord Voldemort's history is in the Half-Blood Prince.

5. You completely forget how the Hufflepuff cup became a Horcrux and how that chapter exists.

6. You love the complexity of Snape's character even more and just want to hug him for all the pain he went through.

7. You forget that Harry and Cho Chang had a terrible date in the Order of the Phoenix.

8. You realize how so many important details are missing from the movies (although the movies are spectacular the way they are.)

9. You feel extra sad when Sirius dies because Harry lost the closest thing he has to a father figure.

10. You are devastated when Dobby, Fred, Lupin, Tonks, Hedwig, Mad Eye Moody, Dumbledore, and Snape die.

11. You have a new love for all the characters except for Umbridge because you will never find a reason to like or have an indifference for Umbridge.
12. You get excited about Quidditch in real life and want to create a team. (Yes, there is Quidditch in the real world, and yes, there is a world cup. I've been 3 times.)

13. The fact that Teddy Lupin wasn't in the movie and the scene where Dudley says he respects Harry is cut from the movie makes you mad.

14. You still jump for joy when Hermione slaps Draco in the face in the Prisoner of Azkaban (she punches him in the movie.)

15. You still think, "Finally" after Ron and Hermione kiss.

15. You realize that once again, Hogwarts will always be your home, and your love for the Harry Potter books will never be forgotten.
