As college students, many of us spend our time scouring the internet in search of the perfect internship - one that will teach us, challenge us, or even land us a dream job. But what happens when your internship doesn't turn out to be what you thought it would be?

Don't let it affect who you are.

Don't take the problems personally and let it damage your self-esteem.

Keep your internship in perspective and don't let it consume you.

Once you leave the office be sure to do things you enjoy.

Look for ways that you can turn your internship around.

Sometimes a situation can be improved with a little creativity.

Be willing to always do more.

Show management that you have what it takes to be successful.

Don't quit your internship unless the experience is totally unbearable.

It's important to maintain your personal integrity and self-worth. That goes for not accepting bad and unprofessional behavior from your managers or coworkers.

Everything is a learning experience.

Don't lose sight of the fact that you can still take something positive away from the experience.

Maybe it's the mundane tasks, unfriendly co-workers, or damage expectations but the unfortunate reality is that we don't always know what we're walking into when we begin an internship.

When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
