Friends can teach you many things. Rather its life advice on being happy, things you should and shouldn't do but most of all, Friends showed me what love really means throughout the course of your life.

It's Okay To 'Start Over In Life'

In the beginning, Rachel runs out on her wedding only to find that in order to be independent she needed to cut up all of her credit cards (aka her dads credit cards) and find a job. Even though it wasn’t the most glamorous job, and the fact that she was in a brand new city with people she barely knew. As the years went on, running into people she went to high school with, having a couple of meltdowns thinking that she wasn’t going anywhere. She started to work harder and she started to actually love herself. While she was doing that, she landed top fashion industry jobs and finally found herself.

You'll Always Have Your Friends

Almost every season had a breakup or two, rather it was Chandler breaking it off with Janice (for the second or third time), Phoebe having to pick between David and Mike or Monica almost going back to Richard. No matter what was going on in their love life’s, anyone in the show Friends could turn to their friends for comfort and support. They never judged one another (too harshly) for their decisions. They got through all the breakups and heartbreaks and all turned out with people that they were meant to be with in the end.

You Will Go On Some Bad Dates.. And Some Even Worse Dates

Rather you’re set up on a blind date and end up going home with your ex wife, getting too drunk and waking up to your ex laying next to you, having to dump the two boyfriends that you’re seeing at the same time or saying the wrong girls name at the alter. Relationships were a roller-coaster when it came to the cast of Friends, especially when it came to awkward and surprising dates. Just like the quote “you’re going to kiss a lot of frogs before you find your prince” it took a couple of relationships for the cast of Friends to find their soul mates. Even if dates don’t workout for you, keep trying and the one that is meant for you, will come to you. Just remember, if you’re trying to make your ex jealous, dating someone that’s 10 years younger than you... probably won’t work, especially if he’s not even remotely your type.

Falling In Love With Your Best Friend Is The Best Kind Of Love

Hands down, one of the best love stories on television is Monica and Chandler. Just starting off as friends, this is the love story that any girl would want. Falling in love with someone secretly, having a fling that no one knows about, finally coming out to your friends by him telling them that he loves you and finally getting engaged in the most perfect way. Monica and Chandler changed the way that relationships were viewed on Friends because of the connection that they already shared before they got together. Falling in love with someone is even more special when that person is your best friend.

Throughout All Of This, Only You Can Choose To Be Happy

One of the characters, Joey in particular. Unlike everyone else in the show wanting to find the love of their life throughout the show, Joey just enjoyed his life. Not everyone is meant for relationships and even though he didn’t have a major relationship in the show, the love and respect that he showed for his friends in the show is just as important. Being content with yourself and loving yourself is vital in life.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
