If you're a Baylor student, you have probably had some experience with the highly anticipated Dia. For one day a year during the spring semester, classes are cancelled and all the bears gear up for a good time. However, for freshman like myself, we've heard all about this beloved event but do we truly know what we're about to get into? I decided to ask some upperclassmen for their take on past Days of the Bear and if they had any advice for us newbies. From what they said...get ready fellow fishies because this is gonna be one for the books.
"You miss 100% of the shots you don't take...drink the punch."
"Get hammered, sober up, eat, nap, repeat."
"If you're going off campus, be safe about everything. Make sure you have a trustworthy DD that's going to look out for you. Have fun and enjoy your day off but don't get too crazy.."
"WEAR SUNSCREEN."
"Don't lose your friends."
"The Dia we knew will never be the Dia you will know. A couple years ago it would've blown your mind."
"See you on 10th!"
"Don't choose Dia to be your first drinking experience. You will get sick and it WILL ruin the rest of your day."
"Just dance. A lot."
"Have fun, stay safe."
"There's a lot of cops out so be smart."
"Don't pria too hard so you can't dia."
"Make sure your friends can track where you are. Buddy system is key. Don't be embarrassed to write 'if found please call *your best friend's number*' because it will come in handy and you will be so thankful."
There ya have it friends. Best of luck and happy Dia!
