No matter the breed and no matter the age, it's hard not to be obsessed with your pet but there's just a different kind of relationship with a human and dog. Dogs have the ability to love you so, so unconditionally with the best reminders every single time you walk through the door. But just like with kids, being a dog parent has its own struggles — some are more legit than others but come on, that just comes with the territory of owning any pet.

Alas, the most obvious battle one can ever face when it comes to their dog is something you'd think would be such a simple task: Washing them. Whether your dog is five pounds or 150, it's never going to be easy and it's never going to be done in record-breaking time. Oh, the joys of owning the most loyal furry, four-legged creature, right?!

1. The only time you want them in the bathroom, they refuse to go.

2. And they will resist you the whole way there, like taking an 8-year-old out of Toys "R" Us.

3. Once you get them in the tub, it's like the water is actually lava.

4. And you don't feel sorry for them.

5. That first initial scrub down is CLEARLY the worst thing in the world.

6. Then they start to low-key enjoy it because they get extra rubs...

7. But you can still sense their resentment in the pouty eyes.

8. Then they think hiding in the corner will somehow work?

9. Which calls for you to bring out the "highly involved" parent in you...

10. Being thorough is really important because it took so long to get here. So you can't BS the job.

11. What a time to be alive, am I right?

12. Especially when they try to escape roughly 3,049 times...

13. So naturally, the teasing they have coming is deserved.

14. Both you AND your dog both become super relieved during the final rinse.

15. Once all the frustration of bathing is done, they always look super cute hanging in the tub for some reason.

16. But the truth of it is, joke's on you...

17. You soon learn that karma is in fact, real. (See No.4)

18. No matter how cute they are, there's really nothing cute about this... AT ALL.

19. But you both know you're always going to win.

20. Just kidding! As soon as they go outside after all your troubles this is what they do...

21. Then they just act SO cool about it like everything's fine because they must think you're into the whole smelling like wet dog thing, too?

22. Despite the battle you somehow conquered with slight grace and major patience, dogs really are a man's best friend. You love them no matter what.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
