What Your Drink of Choice Says About You

Everyone has their go to drink they order when out on the town. So, here is a list of what your drink choice says about you.

1. Jack and Coke/Diet Coke
If you are a Jack and Coke gal/guy, you are the life of the party. You're no stranger to getting absolutely trashed at a bar, and you are quick to challenge any person, guy or girl, to a shot-for-shot challenge. You like to drink. You like to party. You are well acquainted with horrible hangovers.

2. Vodka Tonic

Beware of the people whose drink of choice includes vodka. These people are dangerous. If they can handle drinking liquor that literally tastes like battery acid (I love you Taaka), they are impressive people. They are confident, sophisticated and intelligent.

3. Sex on the Beach

You are not 21.

4. Tequila Shots
The girl/guy at the bar shouting, "lick it, slam it, suck it" is typically the flirt of your friend group. You choose to drink tequila because it "makes you crazy". You love the song "Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off" and always say it describes your life. You can likely be found making out in the corner of the bar with some random guy/girl.

5. Scotch/Whisky On the Rocks
Really, if you say you want anything on the rocks, who are you? Are you over 50? Do you have grandkids? Or are you just pretending to be classy? The world (especially the college world) does not understand you.

6. White Wine
You can't handle the full bodied red wine, so you drink white wine (or what I call grape juice). You don't really like the taste of any alcohol, so this is your best option when attempting to get drunk. You probably also like mojitos and margaritas when you need to switch things up.

7. Red Wine
You probably have been drinking since you were in high school (likely with your parents). You come from a long line of red wine drinkers, and you prefer a night in to going out. You are usually the calm, sober one on any given night out because you drink for pleasure not to get drunk.

8. Gin and Tonic
Although this used to be considered an old-man drink, more recently, it has become popular among the youths. These people are very chill and down-to-earth. It is very rare that you see someone belligerently drunk from drinking a gin and tonic.

9. Long Island Iced Tea
You are the person who regularly tells your friends you have a drinking problem. You've blacked out too many times to count, and you are semi-crazy. You don't care though because YOLO.

10. Hunch Punch/ Jungle Juice
If you are a fan of the classic fraternity party drink, you are someone who lives life on the edge. Why are these people so brave? Because no one really knows what exactly is in that community punch bowl. Some nights you can drink 40 solo cups of it and not feel anything, and some nights you can drink a cup and a half and hit a black wall. No one truly knows what is going to happen when you drink this stuff, and you like the risk (or you are just naive).

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
