What Does Your Overwatch Main Say About You?

Any fan of Blizzard's Overwatch will tell you that the best way to get better at the game is to have a cast of heroes that you know how to play. That way, you can counter the enemy picks and ensure your team is well balanced in order to successfully bring your team to victory.

While that might be true, we all have characters that we prefer to play more than others. For some of us, they may be the only characters we play. You can tell a lot about a person by who their Overwatch "main" is.

Soldier 76

You’re probably a veteran of Cs:Go or Call of Duty. Your favorite ice cream flavor is vanilla and I bet you play Mario in Smash Bros. You may also be a dad in real life, or at least the dad friend.

Reaper

I could easily make a “so edgy” joke about Reaper mains, but you people came here for quality humor, and I’m going to provide it for you. Many Reaper mains are incredibly tactically savvy, knowing how to use your maneuverability in order to take down enemy turrets and tanks. The other ones are thirteen year old boys.

Tracer

I'm so tired of Tracer mains. Tracer players are either incredibly good or incredibly bad, but either way they're incredibly annoying to play with. How can you stand 50 hours of hearing that giggle and not go insane? As I'm writing this I can hear her giggle in my head, so I need to immediately move on.

Pharah

I have nothing bad to say about Pharah mains. She's a solid, fun character who can be a big help to her team in times of trouble. Keep doing what you're doing, we all appreciate it.

Genji

You enjoy playing “one player mode” in which you attempt to take the objective without any thought to your teammates, but that’s okay! You also love your healer and want them to do such a good job that you make sure to tell them that you need healing all the time, because otherwise they wouldn’t know! What would we do without you, Genji mains?

McCree

Mei

You’re either the nicest person in the world, or the most evil. There’s no in between. If you say "Mei is bae", you fit into the second category.

Junkrat

You watched this video.

Torbjörn

You’re either an ex-TF2 player who loved engineer, or you’re lazy and just want play of the game. I hate you either way. We don't need you on attack, please just pick Pharah or something. My friend called him "noob bait", which I think in a little unfair; however if you want to know how others feel about you, there you go. You care so little about your character that you didn't even notice where I put the umlaut.

D.Va

D.Va mains are incredibly dedicated to their character. You probably cosplay her or do a ton of fan art in order to support your main. You either love the D.Va gremlin joke or despise them, there’s really not any grey area there. You love repeating D.Va’s lines when she says them in game in a mocking voice.

Roadhog

Roadhog scares me and the fact that there are people who voluntarily chose to spend as much time playing him as possible really freaks me out.

Symmetra

You’re the type of person to iron your underwear and color code your notes. You spam the Symmetra sit emote and have incredibly specific places to put your turrets every single round. You hate when people try to tell you how to play Symmetra-- you already have everything in its perfect place.

Ana

You’re probably a nice person but you (hopefully) always make sure to have another healer on the team who doesn’t need to rely on their sniping aim in order to heal their teammates. Please. For the love of God.

Lúcio

You’re a really nice person who always gets gold on objective time and a crazy amount of healing done. You’re just here to have fun. You say “gg” even it isn’t a “gg”.

Zenyatta

You’re unappreciated in your time, but the day will come when everyone is going to thank you for the work you do. The day is coming, Zenyatta mains. Just you wait.

Mercy

You’re the mom of the friend group, and you’re extremely protective. You somehow manage to do everything and still have time for your loved ones. You’re incredibly salty when you don’t get recognition for your hard work, but you still do it anyway. You’re the type of person to go into the voice chat and say something nice, and then after clicking out of it cursing your teammates out. If you're so tired, just play a tank. We all have problems.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
