"NNNNNNNOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!" This exact thought has been racing through my brain the since spring semester started. It is my response to waking up and going to my classes every single day, working on homework, and trying to remember to eat, sleep, and breathe. I also have the moments when I no longer want to be an adult.

But on the flip side, there are moments that make all the stress worthwhile: tutoring three days a week, laughing uncontrollably with friends while we stay up too late on the weekends watching movies, and experiencing all that college has to offer. While it may be super difficult to manage all of the above during this busy time of year, I have to remember my many blessings and the wonderful memories that have been made along the way. This semester has been filled with spontaneous movie nights with friends, Netflix marathons, meals laden with laughter, and yes, even a few moments of sadness and despair. But through all of these times, I was able to come away from them all as a stronger individual.

There were times along the way when I needed to take time for myself: insert times of rest and relaxation. What do you do to relax when you most need it? Remember that these times are really important for both you and those around you in that they allow you to step back and recharge. Here are a few of my favorite things to do to relax! Maybe try some if, wait, when you need some ideas.

Step away- I personally suffer from a major case of FOMO: fear of missing out. Anytime there is an event taking place, I feel as though I MUST be there, otherwise, I will miss something. While it may be difficult, remember that it is good to step back and take time for you. I promise you, it is better to miss out on a few events than not truly partake in multiple ones when you aren't feeling like yourself and are super stressed.

Watch a movie or your favorite show- Everything is good in moderation. With that being said, plan a date with your computer or television on a Friday or Saturday night. Take some time and catch up on your favorite show or re-watch your favorite movie for the umpteenth time! Heck, make cookies while you're at it!

Craft or do something artsy- One of my favorite ways is to relieve stress by crafting! Painting, drawing, or doing something crafty/artsy is a fantastic way to take a break from the busy world that we all live in. It relieves stress and allows you to express your artistic side in a mired of ways. Hey and if you want, make something for someone else, give to them, and let them know that you were thinking of them!

Go to a park or just get outside- Sometimes we get so bogged down with all the work that we have to do and all the other stuff going on in our life that we forget to actually leave a building and step into this place called the outdoors. If you are super busy and looking for some way to relieve some stress, I suggest that you open a door, go through the door, and walk into the beautiful outdoor. Heck, if you have the means, get to a park and go for a stroll. If you can't manage getting to a park, just walk around your campus, work, or home and breathe in that great outdoor smell. It will do you some good.

And finally...breathe- Remember to breathe. You may be super stressed at the present moment, but you also must remember that it will all be okay soon enough. Take a step back to relax and breathe, then keep going! You can do it my friend!

So those are just a select few of the things that I enjoy doing when I am tried, stressed, and in need of some "me time." Give them a try! You won't regret taking some much-needed personal time!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
