Yes, folks, Thanksgiving has passed and the holiday season is officially upon us. Whether you have been playing Christmas tunes since black Friday or went and got your tree the moment your food coma settled it is officially time to embrace the holiday spirit. These are my favorite date ideas for this time of year in our neck of the woods. What better place to celebrate than in the great PNW.
1. Snowflake Lane in Bellevue
This gem is located at the Bellevue collection and it snows every night at 7pm. Take your hunny here, grab a latte and enjoy the dancers, music, and flurries.
2. Snoqualmie Pass Snow Tubing
This gem isn't open yet but with the storms we have been getting, it is sure to open shortly. Bundle up for this wild ride and enjoy the rope tow ride back up the hill for hours of fun.
3. Leavenworth
So a little more out of the way, but this town is a WA landmark and is the cutest Bavarian town. In winter it is all lit up and you can head over by car or take the snow train to join in the festivities. They have lighting ceremonies every weekend in the month of December.
4. Christmas Shopping
It has to be done at some point so why not make it an outing. Create your gift lists together and head out into the crazy malls as a pair. Sip cocoa while you walk and finish the night off with a delicious dessert.
5. Tree Decorating
This easy, stay at home project starts with hours of creativity and teamwork and ends cuddling by the lit tree on the couch.
6. Cookie Baking
Another activity that doesn't involve getting out of your PJs, whether it be gingerbread boys, sugar cookies or Christmas candies. You may even find yourself in a flirtatious flour war. P.S. baked goods make great Christmas gifts.
7. Winterfest Ice Skating
Perfect for finding an excuse to hold hands with your crush, there are ice skating rinks all over Washington state. However, the Seattle Center features the Winterfest ice skating rink along with many other holiday activities to watch and partake in.
8. Sheraton Gingerbread Village
The Sheraton hotel in Seattle spends months creating an incredible gingerbread village. This year's theme is Harry Potter, perfect for all the wizarding couples out there.
9. The Nutcracker
The classic ballet, the Nutcracker, shows all season long at McCaw Hall. Get dressed up and settle in for a night of holiday magic.
