1. That Moment When A Conversation Turns Political.

You knew it was gonna happen, but you were still praying it wouldn't. Then someone brings up Hilary Clinton's emails and it all goes downhill from there.

2. When Someone Starts Talking About Jobs

I am not interested in getting a job and not going to grad school.

3. When Your Family Tells You Not to Go Out

I am an adult and I do what I want.

4. When Your Parents Wake You Up Super Early to Go See Family

You love seeing the fam-bam. You do not, however, love seeing the sun rise.

5. When Your Family Doesn't Agree With You On Where/When/What to Eat

Listen. Going to a Buffet at 5 pm is cool. I promise.

6. When Someone Asks if You Are Single

Yes. I was last year, and the year before that, and the year before that. If my relationship status changes, I'll send out a special announcement.

7. When Your Parents Tell You Leggings Are Not Pants

As longs as you wear longer shirts, they are pants. It is a fact.

8. When Your Facebook Friends Start Posting Their Engagement Photos

I'll just go buy another Santa hat for my chihuahua. Yeah. That'll make me feel better.

9. When You Are Accused of Being a Crazy Liberal

Yes. I have been brainwashed by the establishment. Thank you for noticing.

10. When You Get Home and You Know There Will be Real Food

After a whole semester of dining hall food, the good stuff tastes pretty darn delicious.

11. When You Realize You Will Have to Go Back

You will have to go back to campus and after having tasted the promised land, it will not be pleasant.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
