Welcome To A Virtual Museum Of Ice Cream Experience

So unless you've been living under a rock and aren't keeping up with the latest trends, chances are you've heard about the Museum of Ice Cream that recently opened up in NYC aka every child/human being's dream come true. Available to see only for the month of August, this museum is not only unique, but very exclusive. Unfortunately, all the tickets are sold out now. But fortunately, I recently went and can give you the full, virtual experience - free of charge. Because there is actually nothing worse in the world than FOMO. And if you're going later in the month, be prepared for me to give out some serious spoilers. So here's the scoop (literally)...

Ice cream stop #1:

When you walk in, you receive your first ice cream of the day. Your options are: Magnum chocolate popsicle, strawberry shortcake popsicle, or a classic chipwhich (all store bought brands). Let the sugar rush begin.

Helium balloons:

Next up is the helium balloons that they blow up for you that pretty much taste like a bubble of sugar. But they fit in just right with the atmosphere and its sphere of sugar creations.

Cone lights and walls:

The Museum of Ice Cream wouldn't be complete without some artsy walls and dazzling lighting fixtures, of course. The theme is cones, cones, and more cones, if you haven't noticed.

Scoop mountain:

At this part they show you fake ice cream and have each person throw a scoop into an already existing mountain of ice cream that every previous visitor has contributed to. They basically want to create the biggest pile of ice cream ever. Keep calm and scoop on.

THE one and only Sprinkle pool:

And the moment you've been patiently waiting for... the famous instagram featured sprinkle pool. Once you take off your shoes, you jump right into 3 feet of "sprinkles." Translation: they are exactly like those tiny little beads you make at camp but are still awesome. You splash around for a little, take a hundred or so pictures, and then peace out of there after you have the perfect shot.

Ice cream stop #2:

Here they give you a homemade ice cream creation of a pink and blue swirl that kind of tastes like cotton candy with a lemon on top in a cone.

Ice cream playground:

At the last stop, there's a ice cream sandwich swing and see-saw scooper, for more picture ops of course. There's also a new sprinkle wall in this room that makes for another artsy background.

And there you have it - the full museum of ice cream experience. Maybe you won't have the cute sprinkle pic you've been dying for, but at least you're completely in the loop! And if you still have yet to go, enjoy!!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

There have been many lessons learned.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
