Welcome to the future

Although they're ineffable ways to describe this period of time I’m currently going through I feel that they’re many others in my same position. Even though I didn’t expect to find myself in this situation I’ve now realized that's there’s no way to avoid it and the feelings that come along. Sadly, I don’t feel that I will actually be able to enjoy until I let these feelings be heard by others.

To my friends who are also seniors/ classmates , remember when we just entered high school and had no idea of who we wanted to be, what classes we should be taking, what clubs we should be participating in, or who our real friends were or who they were going to be? To me, honestly, it feels like yesterday but probably to some of you, it feels like ninth grade occurred centuries ago. I hope that the memories I mentioned have been answered over the past few years and they were meaningful and impactful to your own individual successes. Now, this is directed towards those of you whom I’m not anything more than an acquaintances to I’m not really worried about you all because so many of you have gone to school with me for as long as I can remember but you have acted in a petty mannerism with the thoughts you were too good for people like myself. People you knew would push and challenge you to attempt to reach your full potential, question some of your decisions which you made trying to figure out if they were yours or someone influencing you to make them, and someone who wasn’t out to get you or over shine you as an individual. So now as we find our separate ways I’ve two hopes for you one that you will let individuals like myself into your lives and give them a chance and two you don’t end up as the outsider in your new lives but if somehow you do just don’t give up hope because this doesn’t define you as a person.

To the rising seniors , PLEASE DON’T BE THE INDIVIDUALS WHO SUFFER FROM SENIORITIES! As you begin to finalize your SAT or ACT scores, filling out applications for colleges, and writing essay’s; I want to challenge you to find out who you want to be and what experiences and memories you want to make in your final year of high school. Although it seems as if your grades, GPA's, and test scores define you they don’t define you as a person. So I challenge you to find something or someone that interests you and make it on of your top priorities that will push you to be an even better individual. Remember on those hard and challenging days when you're all burnt out you're surrounded by others who will admire and support you no matter what (and I’m one of those people).

To the new upperclassman and underclassman, I know you're just going to rush to get to your final year of high school but don’t to be completely honest with you its not even worth it the majority of the time. Unless you're like me and the person"that never wants to go to the party but when its time to leave you just warmed up and don’t want it to leave” you should be enjoying every second of your time. Remember your better than the grade or test score you got your someone who’s trying to find themselves and their passions that will make you different shine differently than everyone else. It doesn’t matter how many more years you have left in high school but please for me don’t rush them. Go find people who bring out your best side and something that captures your interest and you should most defiantly devote your time towards (trust me you’ll thank me later).

Now, I feel semi-confident I will be able to make the best out of my time left with you’ll and enjoy each of these milestones. And, something many people don’t say to others I’ll say to you thank you for being you because without you being yourself I wouldn’t be myself. So don’t just think because I’m going off to college i won’t have the time or interest in you’ll because trust that's completely incorrect. Because, I will annoy you until you respond to me.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
