WELCOME HOME!!! Your mom is so excited to have her precious baby back in the nest. For the previous nine months, you have been making your own adult decisions (or at least have tried to!), lived your life like Larry on the wild side and managed to stay alive. Well, all that is about to come to a crashing halt. Here are the 10 struggles of staying with your parents for summer break!
1.You realize how boring your hometown really is.
It's back to going to your three weekend options: eating, movies, or mall.
2. You can't just leave the house without saying where you're going.
Leaving without an explanation is no longer an option. Your mom wants to know! "Who are you with? Who's party is it? Does she know these people? Will there be parents there?"
3. Work, work, work, work and more work. (I'm not talking about the Rihanna song...)
You love the paychecks, but this is a break, right?
4. Running into friend/enemies.
That brief moment you run into someone you actually hated in high school in the grocery store and they want to know what you been up to.
5. Waking up at 2 p.m. isn't an appropriate time to wake up.
Apparently people actually get up and do "adult" things and start their day by nine in the morning.
6 All your friends from school are miles away.
There are no more late night runs to Wal-Mart or staying up all night binge watching "Grey's."
7. EVERYONE wants to know how college is going.
"How are your grades? You have a boyfriend?" WHOA! Calm down, Aunt Kathy, and let me relax!
8. No. Personal. Space.
You can't go in your room, lock the door and blast the music loudly without hearing, "Come talk to us! Watch TV with us!" Bruh. I just want to relax and jam out to Taylor Swift...
9. Curfew being reinstated.
Remember being 16 years old and being able to stay out till 12 a.m.? You don't? Well, now you do. Say goodbye to walking in the house at 5 a.m.
10.Your ID says 21 but your mom still sees you as her five-year-old baby.
It doesn't matter how old you get; you will always be Mom's "little baby."
I know we're use to "living life like Larry" the past nine months, but our parents love us. It's only three short months, and then we're back to wishing we had our mommy and daddy at school with us!
