We have all been victims of some pretty weird dreams… Last night, I had a weird dream with finals coming up and it gave me the idea to share some of my all-time weirdest dreams with you.
1. The Wizard of Oz
When I was in 4th grade I had an extremely weird encounter in the land of Oz. I was Dorothy, my friends were the leads, and my least favorite people in the grade switched off as the wicked witch. I remember waking up and thinking it was the weirdest thing because it all seemed so real. It was also extremely ironic because it basically followed the movie plot all the way to the point of where I woke up.
2. World War II- Don't take me away
This dream was probably one of the scariest dreams I ever had. I remember I had just learned about WWII and had watched some documentaries about concentration camps. Somehow, this went into my head when I was asleep and gave me the idea that my family and I were running away from the Nazi’s. This dream was especially frightening because it went on for two nights, picking up where I left off the night before.
3. Finals Week- I failed
This dream took place recently and was about my final in pre-calculus. In the dream, I got into the final and everything was so difficult and the questions were about topics I had never even covered. In the dream, I got every single question wrong and didn’t pass the class. This was HORRIFYING because this is supposed to be my last math class I ever have to take in real life. However, the dream meant that I would have to face math again or change my major… While this dream certainly wasn’t pleasant, it was pretty funny after I woke up because it seemed like one of those cheesy stories or plots from an old Disney Channel movie.
4. The masterpiece
I cannot remember when I had this dream, but it was perhaps the most realistic dream I have ever had. This dream was about how I painted a really great picture in my house…. That’s literally all that happened. I remember when I woke up it took me hours to realize that this dream never happened just because of how realistic it seemed the night before. I remember in the dream I regarded it as being my best work when I wasn’t even that good of a painter. I didn’t realize it wasn’t real until I was at school and all the sudden remembered the plot and knew we didn’t have the materials necessary to make my masterpiece. It was truly a bit disappointing that it wasn’t real, but it was funny. Nobody except for myself knew I had been convinced that I was an artist all morning… However, to this day that imaginary painting is still some of my best work.
