I'm 19, Single, And, Yes, I Already Have My Whole Wedding Planned

No, I am not crazy. I'm organized.

I am a student. I am a girl who is single and not ready to settle down long-term. I am not crazy, but more so, a dreamer and believer. I am fully ready to hold a wedding of my own because I have had it planned for years. When the time comes, I will have one of the most important days of my life all planned, down to the place setting.

Color scheme, you ask?

Pink and grey, with gold accents.

This has been a dream of mine since I was young. I had always wanted a big wedding, full of all my friends and family. Everyone getting together after hearing about each other for so many years; almost like a big reunion.

The first time I was telling my mom about how I had planned my whole wedding, she thought I was insane. But then, when I fully explained everything that I had thought out, she started reasoning with me.

I have always like planning events since I was little. When I was young, I would plan Halloween parties with invites and a full itinerary. Planning has always been something I have absolutely adored.

So, when it comes to the most important day of my life, this is what will be included.

Imagine, walking into a grassy vineyard, in the springtime, a clear day with mild, June weather. The sky is clear and the air smells sweet. Everything is set up perfectly. The tables are nicely decorated with light pink table drapes, name cards carefully scripted with gold lettering, with green succulent bouquets in the middle of each table, with string lights hung above. There is champagne being poured.

Around, you see that there is a small box for cards, a basket full of flip flops for the ladies who wear uncomfortable shoes, and kids running around with sunglasses and feather boas. A guest book is being signed and pictures are being taken. In the background, there is live music playing and people are dancing.

After searching, I have found the perfect, simple white wedding dress. My bridesmaids are wearing alternating colors of grey that are flowy and long. My hair is down and curled, with a braid leading to the back, where there are small white flowers delicately placed in the braid. Succulents and light pink roses are fresh in the bouquet, and my best friend is playing “Perfect” on her guitar. The cake is being cut, and tears are being shed. Dinner is being served, its going to be the best, most perfect day of my life.

Call my crazy, but, I know what I think I want. Now, just finding the right one. Who knows! This plan could be completely changed, but for now, my nineteen-year-old self is excited about what the future has to hold, and the wedding I could see myself having!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
