"We Happy Few" is an up-and-coming dystopian action/adventure game from Compulsion Games, which officially hits the market this summer with an early release.

The game is set in a retro-futuristic 1960s England in the "utopian" city of Wellington Wells. This society runs on a drug called "Joy" that makes everyone who takes it perpetually cheerful and carefree. However, anyone who doesn't conform or take the drug is labeled a "downer" and is shunned from society and hunted down by its inhabitants. In this delusional world, the player must learn how to blend in with this disturbing society, alternating between stealth and violence to survive. The player goes back and forth between the "utopian" town and "downer" slums to try and escape this twisted society.

"We Happy Few" was first announced at PAX East 2015 with a chilling, unsettling trailer. This first glimpse of the game was captivating.

Cheerful music greets you along with a black and white radio host, describing the utopian town of Wellington Wells. The scene cuts to a city street full of people. Happy citizens pass you by, their faces concealed by bright white masks. They are perpetually smiling, with dazed and drugged bodies.

The radio host then addresses you, the viewer. The "happy" citizens then confront you, anger overtaking their initial perpetual joy.

The music turns dark, you try to escape, but you're beaten down. The last thing you see are those soulless masked faces hovering over you, ready strike.

This game captured my imagination back in 2015, and I became one of 7,433 backers to successfully fund "We Happy Few" on Kickstarter, overshooting it's $250,000 CAD (Canadian Dollar) goal by nearly $100,000 CAD.

Right now, although the game is still in its infancy stage of development, "We Happy Few" is in Early Access on Steam for $29.99 and is available for both PC and Xbox One. The developers call this version of the game the "Alpha Version" because only about 50 percent of the game is fully complete. While in Early Access mode, the game is constantly evolving, updating and changing as it approaches its full release. Story modes are still in development, and the full features are not yet available. However, the development team continually updates and improves content and sends out weekly or biweekly updates to the public.

First looks at gameplay were revealed at the PAX East 2016. 15 minutes of gameplay are shown, including the initial voiced cut-scenes. "We Happy Few" is a survival craft-based game. The player crafts items to help them blend in both the "downer" and "joy" parts of town while still leading a normal life involving eating, sleeping, drinking and staying alive. Items and crafting recipes can be found throughout the world.

In both societies, avoiding suspicion is vital, so sneaking and bending in are integral parts of the game. Otherwise, the citizens or police will take care of you permanently.

The full release of the game is estimated to be at the end of the year, however, an actual date is still pending.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
