Life is full of mistakes, some we learn by and some we live by. We all have decisions, events, and times we wish we could take back. We want a second chance, a redo without regulations.
It’s amazing how one split second can change everything. Sometimes we make decisions without thinking them through. After a while, we realize that decision wasn’t the best possible choice. Then we start to wonder how things could be different if we went back and replayed those exact moments, maybe make another decision to change the course of how things turned out. Oh, how life would be different with second chances . . .
The truth is, nine times out of ten we don’t get second chances (except for those once-in-a-blue-moon Hallmark channel miracles). That’s just how life goes.
In a way, it’s a miracle in itself that we don’t always get another shot to correct our mishaps. You see, if you didn’t make mistakes and have regrets, you wouldn’t be the person you’ve grown into today.
Every action, decision, and heartbreak you had throughout the years have impacted you in one way or another, some for the better, and some for the worst. No matter what struggles you have faced in this crazy life, you were faced with these battles because they helped you become a stronger person, a better individual. Without regrets, we would have nothing to learn form, grow from or look back on. Yes, there were times when you weren’t sure how to get through the day, but look at you now. You made it through the tough times and are still in one piece.
Remember there is always a light at the end of the tunnel, no matter how long that tunnel might be. We all have regrets. Look back on those regrets and mistakes so you can better yourself. Do not live in the past; rather, look towards the future and know that you are in control. With every decision, there is a lesson. You will survive and move on with your life.
Life is a roller coaster, and you just have to enjoy the ride.
