5 Ways To Spend New Year's Eve

In This Article:

You may not know what you're doing on New Year's, so here are some great ways to spend the last night of 2018.

1. Dance Club/Lounge

"We can dance if you want to, we can leave your friends behind." What's something the end of a very stressful year make you want to do? Dance, drink, and sweat the night off. New Year's Eve is not just the last day of the year, it's the last chance you have to get down and dirty with your best friends.

2. House Party

Dancing is still in play here, but now you have the comfort of couches, free drinks, and enjoying the night with familiar faces. It's also a great way to keep an eye on the TV to see the ball drop in Times Square. Get loose, get crazy, and have a bangin' New Year's.

3. Bar Hopping

Chances are there will be bars that will have just drinks and maybe some appetizers to enjoy. If you're not really the dancing type and you want to drink and be surrounded by a close-knit group of friends, then there's no harm in going to a few bars and getting your drink on!

4. Local Fireworks

I've lived in Naples for years; we're notorious for our 4th of July and New Year's Eve fireworks. You can find a spot on the beach or Downtown on 5th Ave. Whether you enjoy it from the top of a parking garage or next to the ocean, you can enjoy the vibrant colors tracing the night sky.

5. With the Fam

Who better to celebrate the coming of a new year than with your family back home. An added bonus is that you can eat, drink, and dance as much as you want and get to lay in bed without even leaving the comfort of your parent's home.

I wish you an amazing, fun, and safe New Year's Eve. 2018 hasn't been perfect and there's been a lot of things that have affected us this year. If anything is true, it's that we all deserve a clean slate and a new start. Let's not forget the year entirely, however, let's learn and adapt into better versions of ourselves. Happy New Year's everyone.
