Its the most wonderful time of the year, and these 7 movies are so magical, check them out below!
1. The Grinch
Everyone loves a heartfelt story about learning to love. In this rendition of the Dr.Suess classic, Jim Carrey plays the outcast Who who's heart is three sizes too small. Personally, one of my favorites because of the dry, witty humor brought by Carrey's performance and a young Taylor Momsen.
2. Home Alone 2: Lost in New York
The iconic Macaulay Culkin steals your heart as the forgotten child again, this time left alone to explore the Big Apple. This personally is my favorite Christmas movie because I feel it embraces the Christmas spirit.
3. Christmas Vacation
As a kid, I wasn't too fond of this movie but the older I get the more I relate the Griswald's and their dysfunctional holidays. I am the Christmas freak in my family, so I understand Clark's desire to just have one good, normal Christmas.
4. Classic Claymations
I've realized these aren't as popular as I thought. The truly iconic Christmas movies, A Year Without Santa Clause, Rudolph, Frosty the Snowman, Santa Clause is Comin' To Town, this unique and vintage animation style conveys classic Christmas stories in such a beautiful way. These are an every-year-must in my house.
5. Polar Express
If you're between the ages of 5-18, chances are the day before Christmas break every year in elementary school consisted of you going to school in your PJs and the latter half of the day spent with your whole grade piled up in the library with hot chocolate and the world's best sugar cookies to watch the Polar Express, but only after getting your golden ticket punched just like the kids in the movie.
6. Charlie Brown Christmas
One Pathetic Christmas tree and the best friend's you could ever ask for later.....
7. Elf
Elf has so quickly taken over the nation as a cult Christmas movie and I live for it. The love Buddy has for Christmas, the duet of Baby It's Cold Outside, the proof that elves are real and the unity of family.
