Vans Warped Tour is a concert that not only involves the whole community, but makes it possible for people who like a more alternative kind of music to enjoy concerts, while seeing more than one different band throughout the day. This concert is one day in each city, but it is possible to see 50 bands throughout the day, depending on which ones you would like to see. This was my first year, and it was one of the most exhilarating moments that I have had. There are so many great memories that can be made there!
1. Seeing the bands!!!
This is the best and most important part of Warped Tour. There are so many great bands, so there is an ample opportunity to see all of the bands that you desire to see! For example, there is "Falling in Reverse," "Crown the Empire," "We the Kings," "Issues," "Sleeping with Sirens," "Waterparks," and so much more! There is no other experience like it; literally, because there are not that many bands in the same place at the same time all playing for everybody to hear!
2. Mosh pits and crowd surfing
Now, the mosh pits are something to beware of - they are not for everybody. It is basically when a song goes on, there is a huge circle wherever that is, and people can go into it and shove each other and wave their arms and legs around. No lie, it can be dangerous and really scary, but it is a true part of the experience. Crowd surfing on the other hand is definitely something that just needs to be experienced. People are literally lifting you towards the stage, just because it's fun! However, if you fall or get dropped, I suggest not doing it again because it does get annoying when people are constantly kicking you in the face on accident because they are trying to surf the crowd. So just beware, but other than that it is so astonishing because there is nothing like it.
3. Opportunities
This title was very vague, but so much can fit under this! For example, all of the bands have their own tent set up during the show to buy t-shirts, CDs, as well as any other memorabilia. Sometimes, the band will even come out and sign everything you are getting just because they feel like it! There are so many different people around you, sharing the same experience, and having a blast while doing so! Nothing is better than that!
Either way, I would strongly suggest that you go to one of these concerts for the experience alone, because it definitely is a sight to see -- as well as a blast of fun! A great way to spend a day outside, listening to music, and just enjoying life.
