Waiting on the Lord

His timing isn't always our timing.

Today I want to talk about waiting, waiting is something the majority of us hate to do. Whether it’s waiting in line at Walmart or waiting on your food at a restaurant, we all get a little ill while waiting on others.

Psalms 27:14 tells us to wait on the Lord. I want to apply this to the many struggles we face. I’ve gone through personal experiences where I have felt like there would never be a happy ending. People kept telling me “it’ll get better.” However, it always seemed as though things were getting worse. I remember praying for God to just bring me some sort of happiness. I was so angry when my happiness didn’t come the next day, or even the next week. Honestly, my happiness didn’t come until about 3 years later. The reason? I got tired of waiting on the Lord, and looked for happiness in all the wrong places.I also was impatient. Waiting on the Lord felt like watching paint dry. The days would drag on and it seemed as though nothing was changing. I was so angry with the Lord, it was like He wasn't hearing me. However, He was waiting for perfect timing.

My point in this is that we have to trust. I know we have all been guilty of questioning the Lord. We've been angry when his timing wasn't the same as our timing but he knows what is best. I'm glad the Lord put me through many trials. It has lead me to be the woman I am today. I wouldn't be here writing this article for His glory if I wouldn't have gone through all I did.

The Lord waits on us constantly. Before we are Christians He waits for us to come to Him. When we are sinning He waits for us to repent. When we are lost He not only waits for us to come home, but He leads the way also. The Lord is always waiting on us, we can learn to wait on Him.

So wherever you may be in life, and what ever you may be going through stay strong and wait. God's plan for our life is so amazing, and he will use this struggle for a bigger purpose. While you're waiting it may get lonely and it may feel as though He can't hear your crys, but I promise He is holding your hand through it all to get you to the other side.

Wait for the LORD;
be strong, and let your heart take courage;
wait for the LORD! Psalms 27:14

Be strong, His timing is always perfect!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
