Vitalii Sediuk is a Ukrainian entertainment journalist who attacks American celebrities for pranks.
The most recent attack happened on September 21, 2016, in Milan after the Max Mara Fashion Show. Model Gigi Hadid was leaving with her sister, Bella Hadid, and was grabbed from behind and lifted off the ground.
Gigi Hadid reacted quickly by defending herself and elbowing Sediuk in the face until he released her. Sediuk then explained after the attack on social media that it was all because he believes models like Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner do not deserve to be on covers of editorial fashion magazines because they are just "Instagram models". Although it seems he attacks celebrities he has a personal grudge over, he also attacks some just for publicity and attention.
Here is a long list of all the celebrities who have been "pranked" by Sediuk.
1. Madonna
Sediuk hands Madonna hydrangeas even though she publicly hates them.
2. Will Smith
Sediuk goes in for a kiss on Will Smith during a red carpet event.
3. Adele
Sediuk crashes the grammy's right before Adele's speech.
4. Bradley Cooper
Sediuk rushes on to the red carpet during an award show and latches on to Bradley Cooper.
5. Leonardo Dicaprio
Much like the Bradley Cooper incident, Sediuk also attacked Leonardo Dicaprio.
6. America Ferrera
Sediuk slid under America Ferrera's gown at a movie premiere.
7. Kim Kardashian
Sediuk tackled Kim Kardashian as she was leaving a fashion show in Paris.
8. Ciara
Sediuk stripped down to a thong as Ciara arrived at a fashion show in Paris.
9. Miranda Kerr
Also during Paris fashion week, he attempted to kiss Miranda Kerr on the cheek as she was arriving to a show.
Sediuk has been banned from entering the U.S. due to these stunts and has been charged multiple times with assault and battery. He has even done jail time and a year of psychological counseling. Some people may see these acts as harmless and funny however they are extremely serious attacks and a campaign with the slogan "No woman is safe while this piece of s**t is free" was launched which aims to get Sediuk arrested and put on trial for assault.
Sediuk's actions are very controversial on whether they should be tried as assault if they are just pranks. However I believe, pranks or not, physically handling people without their consent should be tried as assault, especially in the context of alarming celebrities for publicity.
