When You Visit Your Sorority's National Headquarters

Visiting the headquarters of your beloved sorority is an experience you will never forget. It makes you realize why you joined your organization in the first place, and you gain a newfound appreciation for the history of the organization. It may not be what you expect, but it will be so much more.

Visiting nationals you expect to be amazed by the design and interior of the building and headquarters, but those are the just a minor piece of what the headquarters has to offer. My organization's headquarters was not what I expected. It was small and just like any other building, but that is not what matters.

It was the history within the building that made me realize how great of an organization I was a part of. You get to see original photos and writings from your founders and things that made our organization what it was. It is amazing to get to meet the people that you have to study for the national exam.

Headquarters not only documents our organization's history, but is also the place where our future will soon be documented. One day, my name could be floating around those halls because of great things my chapter did for my organization.

Make sure you get the chance to visit your organization's headquarters at least once in your life. It rekindles the love and passion for your organization and everything it has given to you. It reminded me of the great women I have met, the opportunities that have been given to me, and what is in store for me in the future because of my organization.

I can't wait to go back. I can't wait to have the same feelings I had as I was looking through old scrapbooks, and looking at old writings about our sorority. I know that even though I was only there for a little bit, the memories I made will last me a lifetime.

Headquarters reminds you of why you chose your organization.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
