This past weekend, I had the pleasure of visiting Atlantis in the Bahamas. Let me start off by saying beautiful does not even begin to describe how lovely it is. It's a breath of fresh air and absolutely one of my top 5 vacations. Here are 10 reasons why you should spread your wings and give Atlantis a try.

1. The scenery

Atlantis is beautiful! From the moment you pull up to the hotel, you will be amazed at how beautiful everything is.

2. The authentic decorations in the lobby.

Even though people like to think that Atlantis is just a beautiful place all on it's lonesome it really isn't. Atlantis did a very good job by keeping Bahamian culture everywhere in the hotel and on the grounds.

3. The food

From conch salads to lobster quesadillas, the food and drinks at Atlantis were really amazing. Everything is made from places locally and the food is made the minute you order it, so you're not getting food that was made and is reheated for you.

4. The Lost City Of Atlantis aquarium

You have to admit when you go to the Atlantis resort and find out they have an aquarium to replicate the lost city of Atlantis your first reaction will be where is it?! It's one of the coolest things I've ever seen. From the sun-clock to the door to the statues, it matches up with the cliche' of the lost city.

5. Everyone is friendly

Throughout my whole stay at the Atlantis, I haven't met a mean person at all. Everyone is so friendly and the first thing they ask is, "Is there anything I can do to make your stay any better?", but they say it with a smile on their face and mean it. I stopped and asked a lady, "Do you enjoy what you do?" and she looked me in the eye and said, "I love it. I meet new people all day long, and I even meet my husband here a few years back while he was on vacation. This place is near and dear to my heart."

6. The Mayan Water Park

Disclaimer: If you do not have a strong heart or suffer from panic attacks or anxiety I do not recommend this ride for you. The tube is long and dark and may scare you, but once you get through it you get to see the beautiful underground aquarium surrounding you with beautiful fish, stingrays, tiger sharks, and so much more. It is a breath of fresh air.

7. The street performers

Local street performers come to the hotel with their drums, guitars, and beautiful melody voices to sing tourist locally known songs. They even have dancers every now and then that dance to the rhythm of the music. As well as locals on stents and taking photos with tourist.

8. The Cove

Those of you who like to go on vacation without children would enjoy the cove. It is the adults only section where the whole day is like a party. The whole staff over at the cove wears white, bottle service is available, a swim-up bar, and live music is blaring all day long. Of course, the cove is poolside (a different array of pools) as well as adults-only bars, and even nightclubs. Shake a tail feather why don't you.

9. The Chocolate Shop

Literally, everything is made of chocolate! From cigars to animals (like little dolphins, bunnies, and dogs), to playing cards and seashells. The chocolate shop has it all.

10. Feeding the stingrays and playing with dolphins

First of all, dolphins are the cutest animals ever. Who can't help but love them? Second off, baby stingrays are weird in a cute way. It's so much fun watching them swim after their meal and push their siblings in the direction to go as well.

So if you want a vacation full of culture and adventure, then put Atlantis on your list.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
