Whether you’re looking to find a new album or to start your own collection these five record stores are the place to go. It’s time to dust off your turntables and turn the volume as high as it can go. But of course they also CDs if that’s more your style.

1. Vintage Vinyl

Open since 1979, Vintage Vinyl has not only been selling music to the masses but they have been inviting musicians to perform on their stage. With a large selection of vinyl and CDs, you will always leave with something new to listen to. All you have to do is walk through their white stands to see pictures of every musician that has played there. This includes bands like Jimmy Eat World, My Chemical Romance, Nick Jonas, Modern Baseball and Ozzy Osbourne.

2. Spina Records

At first glance Spina Records seems to be any old house, that is until you see the bins of vinyl records on the table out front and hear the hand-picked music playing. Not only does Spina Records sell used vinyl records for inexpensive prices, they also have cassette tapes, turntables, and a variety of vintage antiques and decor available.

118 Easton Ave, New Brunswick, NJ, 08901

3. Princeton Record Exchange

The Princeton Record Exchange is one of the largest record stores and has been around since 1980. Other than the usual vinyl records and CDs they also sell DVDs and keep an inventory of over 100,000 titles, both new and used. If you ever manage to listen to everything from Vintage Vinyl the Princeton Record Exchange should be your next adventure.

20 South Tulane Street, Princeton, NJ, 08542

4. Revilla Grooves & Gear

If you're looking for that one obscure record, go to Revilla Grooves and Gear. They sell mostly used vinyl, turntables and all things vintage. Once a worker at the Princeton Record Exchange, owner Darren Revilla is always eager to check out your collection and price it fairly. Plus they offer repair services for vintage turntables and speakers through The Turntable Doctor.

38 North Main Street, Milltown, NJ, 08850

5. Groovy Graveyard

For those interested in collectible memorabilia from 70s horror to 50s sci-fi, the Groovy Graveyard is your place. They might not be home to strictly vintage records but they still have a hearty vinyl collection. While this shop may be small it is filled from top to bottom, when you visit be ready to rummage.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
