You Will Always Be A Villain In Someone's Eyes, So Just Stay True To Yourself

Life is hard enough without people who don't understand you making it even harder, but unfortunately this is something all of us have to deal with.

Not everyone will like you, and not everyone will decide they want you around. And that's okay.

The hard truth is that no matter how hard you try to be the best and do the best, you will always be a villain in someone's eyes, and if this is true, you should stay true to who you are and what you believe.

You can do everything in your power to make the right choices and the choices you feel are for the greater good, and there will still be someone with something bad to say about it. No matter what you say or do there is always going to be at least one person who doesn't like it, doesn't agree with it, or who decides that your intentions were bad (even if they weren't).

This is a major reason why you should live your life for you, and not for anyone else. Do the things you want and need to do, go where you want and need to go. When you start living your life in a way that centers around pleasing everyone else, you ultimately forget about your own needs and desires, and this is no way to achieve the happiness and success we all strive for.

If you are happy with the decisions you make and the words you speak, that's all that matters. The only person who truly needs to be happy with who you are is you, and anyone who has something to say about that is probably someone you should decide not to keep around. Do what you need to do to be happy and at peace, and screw the people who make you feel poorly about that.

Of course, we should also do our best to minimize the number of people we hurt, but the fact of the matter is that oftentimes hurting someone else is unavoidable, at least to a certain extent. This might sound bad, but when you think about it its actually very true- breakups, saying goodbye to toxic friends, and other situations like this are instances where we have to hurt someone else in order to do what is best for our wellbeing. There are always ways to lessen the suffering we inflict, but sometimes that pain is unavoidable.

Moral of the story, always do what you need to do to be the happiest you can be. That's what everyone else is doing, anyway.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
