Veganism -- there's something about meeting someone who is a vegan that makes them an all-around interesting person, causing the spiral of questions to emerge. How do you do it? What do you mean you don't eat bacon? No pizza? From Natalie Portman to Ellen DeGeneres, a vegan lifestyle has become incredibly popular lately.
Let's be honest, the thought of giving up all dairy, meat and other animal products seems absolutely frightening to me, let alone remotely possible. Breakfast: Peanut Butter Granola
This is Alicia Silverstone's recipe for vegan granola. Requiring few ingredients, it's a delicious way to make homemade granola, it even allows for the addition of dried fruit, fresh fruit or other additives.
Lunch: Quinoa Avocado Spinach Power Salad
A fan of both quinoa and avocados, this salad is something I love to make on a regular basis. Even better is the fact that it's vegan as well!
Snack: Salt and Pepper Zucchini Chips
An easy, healthy alternative for those chips you've been craving. These are just as delicious, with less of the guilt!
Dinner: Mediterranean Baked Sweet Potatoes
High in Vitamin B6 and Vitamin C, sweet potatoes are a readily available, inexpensive and delicious way to benefit your health. Plus this recipe only takes 30 minutes.
Dessert: Raw Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bars with Hot Fudge
Who's not a fan of cookie dough? This recipe is great because you can still make the same, delicious cookie dough without the fear of raw eggs!
