I’ve never been a huge fan of Valentine’s day, but one thing that I’m always into is the music. The other day while I was perusing some of my favorite Spotify playlists, I came across these gems. Each one has something to do with love, but I like that they’re all pretty different from each other. Enjoy!
1. My My My! by Troye Sivan
What a way to start it off, a pure bop.
2. Filthy by Justin Timberlake
I have to admit, “this song has everything to do with dancing robots” was not my first thought when listening to this.
3. Perfect Duet by Ed Sheeran and Beyoncé
Completely romantic, beautiful and everything, but honestly I just skip ahead to Beyoncé’s part. (1:41 I’m not kidding)
4. Palace by Sam Smith
This has been tugging at my heartstrings ever since I heard it in that one Air Pods ad.
5. Take Me by Aly and AJ
This duo has been speaking to me since 2007. Don’t judge.
6. Surround Me by LÉON
In all seriousness, I don’t know why more people aren’t talking about her. She is absolutely amazing!
7. Higher by Rihanna
I. Cry. Every. Time. Don't ask me why, even I don't know.
8. Turn Me On by Norah Jones
This song is very 90s teen drama vibes. I dig it.
9. How I Want Ya by Hudson Thames and Hailee Steinfeld
I was way too into this song in high school, but it hasn’t gotten old yet.
10. She Moves In Her Own Way by The Kooks
I’ve always had a soft spot for British bands whose accents you can still hear in their songs.
11. Die A Happy Man by Thomas Rhett
For all of your friends who say they hate country, they’ll like this one.
12. Morning by Marc E. Bassy
Marc E. Bassy has a song without G-Eazy?? What??
13. Accidentally In Love by The Counting Crows
Shrek will never get old. Ever.
