Valentine's Day has come and gone. Perhaps you got to eat chocolate, decorate your apartment in pink and hearts, and if you're lucky enough to be taken, get a romantic day with your partner. However, for those of us who aren't in a relationship, we can blast ex-partners and listen to breakup songs that remind us why it's great to be single, both on February 14th and far beyond it. Here are some of the best breakup songs from a few different genres.

1. "Hurricane" by Theory of a Deadman

This is a song that reflects on a failed relationship, trying to put together the pieces and see what went wrong. This entire album, "The Truth Is," was written in response to the lead singer's divorce shortly before it was recorded. This is a haunting song that compares a toxic relationship to a hurricane, and at the end of the song, the singer learns to escape.

2. "We Are Never Ever Ever Getting Back Together" by Taylor Swift

This list wouldn't be complete without one or two Taylor Swift songs. While she has many amazing breakup songs, this one is upbeat and reminds us all that we are so much happier without toxic relationships and toxic people. This is so much fun to sing along to with friends and to remind your significant other that a breakup only happens once.

3. "Your Love is a Lie" by Simple Plan

This song is about a lover scorned, who realized that he was being cheated on. This is a great anthem for when you realize that your partner isn't the person you thought they were.

4. "Before He Cheats" by Carrie Underwood

This is another song to belt out when you're a lover scorned, as Carrie Underwood destroys the possessions her partner loved after she realized that she had been cheated on. This is a classic breakup song great for karaoke night.

5. "I Hate Everything About You" by Three Days Grace

This angry song showcases the annoyance and misery you feel when you realize you love an awful person.

6. "Breakeven" by The Script

Sometimes someone you love breaks up with you. And it hurts. This song showcases that pain when you love someone who doesn't love you back.

7. "Picture To Burn" by Taylor Swift

This is another great song for karaoke night, about how you let go of a past relationship, especially when that person is toxic.

8. "The Truth Is (I Lied About Everything)" by Theory of a Deadman

Let go of all the lies you've told throughout a relationship, now that you can finally tell someone how you truly feel.

9. "This Little Girl" by Cady Groves

We all feel murderous after a breakup. This singer took it a bit too literally. However, it's a fun reminder that any girl can be murderous if she gets hurt.

10. "Irreplaceable" by Beyonce

Let's end with my favorite Beyonce song, about how you can do better after a relationship. No matter how hard your partner tries to convince you otherwise.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
