Shyp

Who has the time, patience, and energy to lug the items you need to ship to the post office and wait on the miserably long lines anymore? Shyp, only available in San Francisco, New York, Miami and Los Angeles, is the Uber of sending packages. By the click of a button, a Shyp representative will arrive at your location with a box and the proper skills (and speed) to pack anything you wish.

Myscript Calculator

Have you ever wished you could just write a math problem in your notebook and the result would immediately appear? Myscript Calculator realizes the inconvenience of punching in numbers to a calculator. This app converts your own hand-writing into answers! Math homework just got so much easier.

One Receipt

The only thing harder than climbing Mount Everest is keeping track of receipts. Whether you crumple it up right when it's handed it to you because you know it'll disappear in seconds, or you keep it in the bag with every intention of saving it; receipts just vanish into thin air. This app allows you to take a picture of each receipt you receive and have it magically appear in electronic form. In addition, it emails you once a month with your monthly expenses based on the totals. Ladies, you might want to make sure your husbands don't have access to your emails; it could get ugly.

Heard

Ever had a conversation with someone and wish so badly you recorded it? As long as you have your phone on you, Heard is running constantly in case you need to replay something that was just said. The free version records the most recent minute and the upgraded version records the most recent five minutes. By this point in time, we've all realized our brains aren't capable of memorizing everything we're told. Heard to the rescue!

Breaking News

Scrolling through news apps can get pretty frustrating when you can't find anything you're interested in. Breaking News gives you exactly what you want to hear. Do you only care about Justin Bieber and the Giants? Well then, so do they. Breaking News tailors your feed to what you want to see, and nothing extra.

Vent

Is there something you've been keeping it because you're too embarrassed to say it? Vent allows you to anonymously get whatever is bothering you off your chest without feeling judged or humiliated. Vent users feel comfortable to voice their opinions, whether they're opening up about themselves or helping someone else out. Vent is a community; everyone supports each other.

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
