Now she is kind of my idol.

I Used To Hate Corinne Olympios...
ok here is the situation

It's safe to say that Corinne Olympios is one of the most infamous contestants in Bachelor history.

Now at first, I did not like her at all. I thought she was an aggressive, attention-seeking, annoying girl who was only on the show for publicity.

Literally everything that girl did made my jaw drop. From showing up to Nick's suite in only a trench coat to taking her top off during a photo shoot on a group date, I was like, who is this girl?

Then as the show went on, she slowly started to grow on me. The things that I disliked her for I started to like. How assertive she was, how she knew what she wanted, and how she would do anything to get it.

I truly believe that Corinne is a feminist icon. She goes out of all traditional boxes that we women are put into by society. She takes love and life by the balls, and I freaking love that about her.

She isn't afraid to embrace her sexuality, even on national television. She isn't afraid to embrace who she is, even if her lifestyle is untraditional to most. Corinne is 100 percent herself, and I think that is something we should all strive to be.

Now aside from what I love about her personality, Corinne was not your traditional Bachelor contestant. She went about finding love in a different way:

1. She wasn't afraid to be hated.

It is obvious that the other girls did not take well to Corinne. The thing is, Corinne didn't care. She wanted to be with Nick, and she wasn't afraid to burn some bridges to get there.

The thing about the Bachelor is you really aren't there to make friends, you are there to find love. Corinne knew that.

Corinne went about finding love in her own, unique way. If that didn't please others, whatever!

2. She was completely herself from the start.

Sometimes when we meet people for the first time, we put on a front. We don't want to scare the person off. Corinne was not like that.

From the first time she got out of the limo to the night she got sent home she never put on a front. Which is why, in my personal opinion, the other girls didn't like her.

Even on her hometown date, she let Nick see a day in the life of Corinne even though her lifestyle is extreme.

3. Her response to being sent home is EVERYTHING.

Corinne was the fourth runner-up, unfortunately. After a tearful, heartfelt goodbye between her and Nick, she got in the limo and drove off.

Her response is everything, and shows exactly how hard it is to be a 20-something girl in this generation trying to find love:

"Saying goodbye to Nick... I feel like my heart is literally never going to be repaired. I just want to feel loved, the way it's supposed to be. The normal way. Why can't I just have a normal relationship? I'm trying to say things that men think are appropriate, and you know what? I'm done trying to show my men how much I worship them and I love them and I support them. I need that, so if someone feels that way about me, they can tell me. And they can bring a ring to go along with it. I'm done trying to impress these men. I'm going to be me, and whatever happens, happens. But I will never kiss up to a man again in my life."

Mic drop.

A girl I couldn't stand has now become a sort of role model for me in the search for finding love. Who would have thought?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
