If you aren't lucky enough to be a student at UNH, here's a little guide to help explain to you some of our favorite days and places on campus, Urban Dictionary style.
Stoke
One of, if not the oldest dorm on campus. If you ask older family members that attended UNH, they remember Stoke and they pre-gamed there too.
"I got written up in Stoke last weekend, we can't go back there tonight."
Philly Dining Hall
Hands down the best dining hall on campus putting Hoco & Stillings to shame. Even though it's practically in Siberia, it's always worth the walk.
"I waited in the breakfast bar line at Philly for 25 minutes this morning, but the omelette was so amazing I didn't even care."
Homecoming
A day where the whole campus comes together on Boulder Field to proudly show their wildcat pride for the football game that the majority of people don't even make it to.
"Hey, did we win the Homecoming game this year? I don't even think I made it to the field."
DHOP
With at least five different pizza places to choose from on campus, there can be some argument as to which pizza is the best. Although, after a night on Frat Row, no one can argue DHOP is the way to go.
"Yes I know it's a $5 Cats Cache minimum, just give me two slices."
Blackboard
BB can either be your best or worst friend, depending on the class or day. That little red mark when you get a notification can either make or break your mood.
"Do you know what you got on the exam? I haven't looked, I'm too afraid to check Blackboard."
T-Hall Lawn
Defines the UNH campus. Driving down Main Street & seeing T-Hall can always turn your day around.
"Let's go to T-Hall and take pretty fall pictures for Instagram."
The MUB
Need something at the bookstore? Have a care package waiting for you? Need to do some homework? Go to the MUB.
"I think I'm going to Union Court to grab some food and do homework, you should come."
Cinco de Mayo
The Homecoming of spring time! Students start drinking when they wake up and don't stop until their final the following day.
"I can't find my sombrero for Cinco this year, can I borrow yours?"
Wild Kitty
The go-to spot for late night food cravings. Where else can you go to at one in the morning when you're craving a quesadilla?
"My mozzarella sticks from Wild Kitty fell on the ground, but I ate them anyway."
The Whit
Some people use The Whit as a means of working out at the gym while others use it solely to watch the hockey team play.
"What time do you want to meet at The Whit for the hockey game tomorrow?"
