Songs You Need To Add To Your Playlist, Now

Personally, one of the WORST things ever is the feeling that you just keep listening to the same songs over and over. I think all of us have been in the situation where you simply, not just want, but ~need~ new music. On the contrary, there is no better feeling than finding a song that is just what you were in the mood to listen to. If you are a music fanatic, like myself, I hope you take at least one of these songs with you when you leave.

With that being said, I'm sharing with you eight of my new favorite songs (that hopefully are new to you) just in case you're in the spot where you want some new music.

1.  “Cry for Love” by Harry Hudson

This is my all-time favorite song right now, without a doubt. I had never heard of this guy until this song and I truly recommend all of his music. The words, the music, the beat, just everything about this song is so good.

2. “Wedding Anthem” by Destiny Malibu

Another artist I hadn't heard of until this song, but it is SO GOOD!! A really good song to drive around to, workout to, or just chill with.

3.  “Blame” by Thutmose

One of the more different songs I have listened to lately but definitely one of my all-time favorites. Out of all the songs on here, this one is probably the most upbeat. If you need a good song to go on a run to, this is the one.

4. “Worst of You” by Maisie Peters

A very relatable song to all the girls going through any and every problem that has to do with a boy. That is all I need to say about this one. 10/10 recommend.

5. “Sleep Talking” by Charlotte Lawrence

This is one of those songs that you need to definitely be in a place where it is acceptable to scream the lyrics of the chorus. And to be able to dance. Both of those are a necessity with this song.

6. “Just Slide” by Harry Hudson and Jaden Smith

Another one by this new Harry Hudson guy I found…all of his songs are so beautiful. The lyrics of this one are especially meaningful. I'm also a huge fan of Jaden Smith so he adds a nice touch to this song.

7. “Put it to Bed” by JHart

This has to be the girliest, feel-good songs on here. It's just a happy, screaming-the-lyrics kind of song. It's been a favorite of mine for a while.

8. “Good Years” by ZAYN

This is one of those songs that if you weren't in your feels already, go ahead and buckle up because it will throw you right into them. But sometimes, you need this kind of music. And if you're in this type of mood. You're welcome.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
