We were all astounded--maybe even frightened--after somebody at ECU had the bright idea to change the sound effects as you walk up the Joyner Library steps. The original sound was a short, to-the-point chirp or musical note to cheer you up as you entered the library. The sound effects after were awful, and I think anyone at ECU can attest to that. Read more about them here.
Well, ladies and gents, the school has changed the sound up again. This is the third sound change of the semester, and let me remind you, before that the sound had been the same since at least my freshman year.
The new sound effects resemble that of a classical music concert. Which I guess is a good thing for those that have to take music appreciation classes...maybe your professors will let you skip out on those dreadful concerts. What caused the sudden change? My guess is that the school received a lot of backlash for the previous noise sound.
So what's going on, ECU?
