Finishing your last final for the school year is a wonderful feeling. Freedom rings and summer is finally upon you and you can not wait to have almost four months to yourself ... until about three weeks in when you get bored and don't know what to do with yourself. Here's a list of ten fun things to cure your case of the Boredom Blues this summer!
1. ROADTRIP!
You met all these awesome people at school from all different places, take advantage and hit the road to visit them!
2. Go to a drive-in movie.
Find a good old fashion drive-in movie in your area, or make one at home with a big white sheet, projector, blanket, friends, and most importantly, popcorn,
3. Go to a water or amusement park.
A day filled with roller coasters, friends and fried Oreos sounds like a great one to me.
4. Have a good old fashioned campfire.
"F is for friends that do stuff together!" Invite your friends over, roast some hot dogs, sing campfire songs and eat s'mores until the sun comes up.
5. Explore your city.
I never truly appreciated the city I'm from until I went away to school and didn't live in it anymore. Cherish it and explore while you still have time!
6. Go hiking.
I know, exercise (ugh). But I'm sure the view will be worth the climb.
7. Have a slumber party.
Invite your girlies over and go all out like you did in sixth grade. I'm talking braid each other's hair, make popcorn, have a pillow fight and tell each other secrets.
8. Create your own outdoor water park in your backyard.
I mean, who doesn't love a Slip N' Slide? All you need is a tarp, some water and a lot of soap.
9. Hit the beach.
Don't forget to put on sunscreen, or you'll end up looking like this guy.
10. Clean your room.
JK. Don't do this. That's just not fun.
