Have you ever dated a guy and wished that you hadn't? They became one of those that you are embarrassed to say that you had any kind of connection to? Most of us girls can agree on some universal signs that a guy is a total tool.
1. They talk way too much about themselves. If you ask them a question, they will not ask you the same question back, showing absolutely no interest in your life. Some girls choose to ignore this quality, but it is a major red flag.
2. They flirt with other girls in front of you. They are not "just being friendly" with the beautiful girl, they are flirting. If they aren't best friends, or good friends, sorry girlfriend.
3. You're doing things that he wants to do. You seem to be watching all of his favorite movies or shows, and eating at all of his favorite restaurants. Truth is, I don't want to eat wings every time we go out. I would like to eat sushi and drink hot tea thanks for asking.
4. If he's using you. The worst one ever: He actually doesn't like her, he isn't attracted to her, and he's just using her for some reason I haven't quite figured out yet. Just leave the girl alone and break up with her for goodness sakes.
5. If he's bragging about the chicks he's bagging. If a guy is bragging about how many girls he gets, that is embarrassing, not cool. If you get a ton of girls, don't flaunt it, because honestly nobody cares. Also, that isn't something girls want to know whether they are trying to hookup with you or date you. When a guy brags about getting girls, he may as well put an Ed Hardy shirt on and some chains too.
6. He makes plans with you and bails. Sorry, if he really wanted to hangout with you he wouldn't bail, or he would reschedule if necessary. Usually the reason is really stupid too.
7. His texting is terrible.
Douche: What's up? - 12:04 am
You: Sleeping... -12:30 am
Douche: Want to come over and hangout? -1:13 am
DO NOT RESPOND. Actually, probably don't even respond to the first text. If a text is coming in from someone you are interested in anywhere past 11pm to come over, it is a booty call.
8. He can't stop talking about everything he accomplished in high school. This is the absolute worst to listen to. In real life, nobody cares what you did in high school. Sure we want to hear your funny stories, but not how many touchdowns you made or how many girls you took to your junior year prom.
9. He talks badly about other girls. This is a humungous turn off. Guys that can so easily talk degradingly about other girls, or gossiping about other girls are most likely not the guy you want to be dating any time soon.
10. Sunglasses at night. I hope this speaks for itself, but I am sorry is it bright outside? Are the stars too much for your eyeballs? Take those off!
11. He picks fights. I think we are old enough to use our words. I understand that there are situations that get physical, but you should try to avoid those at all costs.
12. He treats his family badly. How a guy treats his mom is actually a huge sign of how he will treat you. If it isn't good, there's nothing you can do to fix it. If she couldn't get him to respect her after over two decades, I don't think any girl is going to change that.
Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of nice guys out there. There are also tons of tools that us girls need to keep an eye out for. If you notice any of these signs, run in the opposite direction. These guys need time to mature, and time to figure out that these things are not cool or hot.
