At the end of March 2017, a show was put out on Netflix called "13 reasons why" to quick sum up what it is about for those of you who don't already know it's about a girl name Hannah Baker who takes her own life and leaves behind tapes for 13 people who played a role in her death. Since the show aired it has been getting a lot of attention both good and bad though more bad attention has come from the media talking about how the show is to dark and it shouldn't be on netfilx and people shouldn't watch it because it has trigger episodes, Some school have even started to ban the book and send out letters to family about the show and what it contains. Some schools are sending the letter to tell parents not to let the kids watch it while some schools are sending the letters telling parents that they should sit down and watch the show with their kids and talk about it afterwards.

Let's talk about my unpopular opinion on why I stand by "13 reasons why"

I was Hannah Baker.

I was picked on and rumors about me in school spread and I had people in my life who I thought were my friends and I thought would stand by my side when things got bad or who I thought would put the rumors to rest because they knew it wasn't true. I watched at people in my class stood by and let the enjoyment of life I had be taking away by people because no one stood up and spoke up. This show hits home in many ways for me and it shows the TRUTH about what it's really like to deal with people in high school and how some of the teachers are not trained to deal with stuff like it, it's not that they don't "try" its the reach a point where they don't know what to do and they think the students are just being kids and it's something that we will build off of and grow out of.

This show does not make suicide romantic or glorify it in anyway, this show gets dark and because of how dark it got, suicide is being talked about before it's to late for some. This show opened the eyes to a lot of people and made a lot of people speak up and because it did just that because the show went dark people are talking about their stories and what they went through and they shared how they where Hannah Baker.

Yes this show is dark and shows things that can be seen as "triggers" Things like the rape sense that happens to Hannah and then showing how she takes her own life and her parents finding her body. These things happen in real life...almost every day and they are NEVER talked about, because people think if they don't talk about something it just goes away and it's not an issue anymore. This is NOT true, I stand behind this show because it made people start talking about issues that need to out in the open and I tip my at to the schools who sent out the letters to parents telling them to watch the show with their kids, because caring starts at home, bit;eing a parent who cares about their kid enough to let them know its okay to go through some issues they can talk about them with them, starts at home.

Though I will say this to end my thought,

Until you deal with demons that make you think about crossing that line

You don't get to stand there and say what we go through is just a phase and it's something that we will get over.

Until you deal with the darkness that hunts us you don't get to sit there and say this show makes suicide romantic.

Because when you watch a show like "13 Reasons Why" and Understand what a fictional person is going through and you make the personal contention with Hannah is more then just a show it's like watching someone finally understand that darkness that causes a lot of people harm.

So Unpopular Opinion, I stand behind "13 reasons Why"

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
